Friday 26th Jan. – Special Showing of ‘The Farthest’ – Eye Cinema

More than 12 billion miles away a tiny spaceship is leaving our Solar System and entering the void of deep space – the first human-made object ever to do so. This little craft will travel on for millions of years, carrying a Golden Record bearing recordings and images of life on Earth. In all likelihood Voyager will outlive humanity. THE FARTHEST will celebrate these magnificent machines, the men and women who built them and the vision that propelled them farther than anyone could ever have hoped.
A special screening of this amazing documentary will be held in the Eye Cinema in conjunction with the Festival

Saturday 27th Jan. Trade Displays and Exhibition

Running alongside the day’s other events some of Ireland’s largest sellers of astronomical equipment will have their wares on display. The hall

will also host stands providing information on Dark Sky festivals, displays of astrophotography, information stands and more.

Saturday 27th Jan. 1230 – 1400 Lunchtime Workshop

For those interested in the more hands-on aspects of astronomy, the Club will run a workshop during the lunch break, dedicated to the more practical aspects of astronomy. This will also represent an ideal opportunity to ask any of those astronomy questions you always wanted to ask.
