Our Club meetings are held usually on the first Monday of every month at 7.30pm, this schedule can change if there is a Bank Holiday or a clashing event taking place at the Hotel. The season lasts from September to June and take place at the Westwood House Hotel which is located on the western side of the city next to the N59 Galway-Clifden Road.
Typically we start with our very informative “Sky Report” a ten minute talk describing events to look out for the month ahead in the night sky.
This is quickly followed by the main talk given by an academic speaker that lasts for an hour or so, after which we have a 5-10 minutes of audience questions.
Following this we like to relax and chat all things astronomical over tea, Coffee & Biscuits. New and Non members are also most welcome to attend.
Entry €2 for members, €3.50 non members
